Tom Cox is an audit partner and technical reviewer with Carr, Riggs and Ingram, CPAs and Advisors. He has over forty years of diversified audit experience. Mr. Cox has served as engagement or concurring partner on audits of not-for-profit organizations, governmental entities, financial institutions, and other commercial clients. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Government Financial Manager, Technical reviewer for GFOA Certificate of Achievement Program, and the Firm’s designated Audit Quality Partner, Government Audit Quality Center (GAQC) AICPA.
Mr. Cox received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Florida State University. He is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, Government Finance Officers Association, current member and past chairman, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Peer Review Committee and a member of the Quality Control Committee of Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC.
Outside of the office, Mr. Cox has served as Chairman (2011-2012) and Treasurer of the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc., sponsor of the Biletnikoff Award. He is a member of the Florida State University Accounting Department’s Professional Advisory Board and the Friends of Mission San Luis, Inc. Board. He has held present and past offices in various school support groups and been a former church deacon.


The Biletnikoff Award is a member of the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA). The NCFAA was founded in 1997 as a coalition of the major collegiate football awards to protect, preserve and enhance the integrity, influence and prestige of the game’s predominant awards.
