Kelley Phillips grew up on a wheat farm in Western Kansas near the Colorado border. Studied Business Administration at Wichita State University in Wichita, KS. Spent 20 years in the jewelry and diamond business, both at the wholesale and retail levels. Was founder and president of Kelley W. Phillips Gems of the World and Phillips Trading Company. He is a jewelry designer, certified Gemologist, Graduate Gemologist and former member of the Gemmological Assn. of Great Britain. Kelley is a former member of the USSR-USA Trade and Economic Council and presented a seminar in Moscow before the Council. For the last 26 years he has served as President of Life Solutions, P.A., an insurance agency offering life insurance and annuities, with a specialty in disability insurance. Kelley was on the founding board of directors for Gainesville Rotary Sunrise 41 years ago. Joined The Tallahassee Rotary Club in 2015 and currently serves as President. Founded the Club’s Operation Discover project 6 years ago to encourage mentors to reach out to teens needing guidance. Kelley is married to Linda and they had 3 children, Bridget, Kelley Jr., and Michelle, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Kelley is active in his church, the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, Volunteers for Leon County Schools, Literacy Volunteers, and the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend. Kelley has also served on the Architectural Control Board of Killearn Homes Association.
